Artist Statement:

The primary themes of this project include illusion vs. reality, and juxtaposition of beauty and horror. By presenting the strawberries initially as appealingly red before revealing their true, blood-stained nature, the project explores the concept of appearances being deceiving. The choice of classical music, typically associated with beauty and serenity, playing over a horror scene further emphasizes the theme of contrasts and the unsettling realization of the character's true nature.
